Fleurieu Peninsula

The Fleurieu Sun was founded in 2022 to cover news and events throughout South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula.

The newspaper is a voice for the Fleurieu Peninsula and McLaren Vale wine region.

The Fleurieu Sun is a regional family-owned and run newspaper.

Managing Director is Andrew Manuel who also owns and publishes the Plains Producer, Two Wells Echo, Eyre Peninsula Advocate, Valley Magazine and regional business directories, and part-owns the Border Watch.

Operating from the old Telegraph Station in Coral Street, Victor Harbor, the Fleurieu Sun employs a strong team of local reporters and salespeople.

The newspaper received start-up financial support from the Newsroom Sustainability and Digital Transformation Fund.

The fund is an initiative of Meta, in partnership with The Walkley Foundation, to support the growth of small rural and regional newsrooms in Australia.
